Judgement

Judgement is one of those words nobody wants to own. "Well, I’m not
judging you, but …"
So often, we want another person to know they are wrong, but we
don’t want to acknowledge we are judging him or her. It’s as if we
instinctively know that to have the words ‘judgmental’ or ‘judging attitude’
attached to us won’t show us off in a good light either. Basically it's
because people who judge presume to put themselves in the place of God.
Many people devise ways to put other people ‘in the wrong’ while
seeming to be virtuous ourselves. My grade school teacher use to
say, "When you point the finger at someone else, there are three
more pointing back at you". That is so true. God knows I am not
perfect, and would never claim to be. I just don't know where some
people get off being so judgemental by trying to call other people out.
I know that in life, no one can avoid being judged. But there is
definatly a difference between
good judgement and bad judgement. There will be times in life
where we have to judge. But instead of always judging others and
pointing the fingure, we should instead judge ourselves and make
sure that WE are living right and following the right path.

See Royal, you’re just dead wrong when you said, “...instead of always judging others and pointing the fingure, we should instead judge urselves and make sure that WE are living right and following the right path.”

I totally agree, but that is easier said then done when so many of us fail to change the ‘man in the mirror’ yet seeking an easier task in attempting to change others. It almost seems satisfying as well as easier for us to point out the wrong in others and expect change, instead of ourselves. I suppose that unconsciously we point out the bad in others without consciously looking at self.

I often think of the old adage, ‘to escape criticism, one would have to do nothing, say nothing…be nothing.’

PS, I was kidding about you being wrong (HA HA) ...sad, but you're RIGHT. (frown)

In our part of the world they say, "Give us an educated women, we will give you educated nation." Your proverb is so true.
